History

We started out in a small facility just off Bayview, at a time when hardwood floors were just beginning to become popular. Then seven years ago we moved to our present much larger facility with it's custom built showroom.

We specialize in wood floors and it is our expertise, our experience, our fine staff, our range of products and our inventory, which are all second to none, that allows us to offer the very best service.

Over our 20+ years we have supplied wooden floors to hundreds of satisfied area homeowners as well as contractors, builders, and designers.

The name Rowan refers to a tree - a variety of mountain ash - that is in fact common here as a cultivated shade tree, the one with the orange berries the birds eat. Though a pretty tree, and useful for shade, the Rowan tree is too soft to be used for flooring.

Community

Rowan participates in community activities, is a member of Chambers of Commerce and exhibits at local home shows.

We sponsor two local junior soccer teams, one girls and one boys.

We have also participated in funding and building a community center in the West Nile region of Uganda and continue to support a junior technical school there.
